Defect
On vehicles equipped with adaptive front lighting systems, the headlight leveling actuator — which adjusts the headlamp beam axis — was produced through an improper resin molding process, leaving certain units with insufficient strength. Continued use may cause the actuator to fail, fixing the headlamp beam axis in the downward position and preventing the headlamps from illuminating the road ahead.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the production lot number of the headlamp and headlight leveling actuator is inspected. On affected units, the headlight leveling actuator is replaced with a corrected part.

状況
配光可変型前照灯装着車において、前照灯の光軸を調整するヘッドライト・レベリング・アクチュエータの樹脂成型工程が不適切なため、強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、ヘッドライト・レベリング・アクチュエータが損傷し、前照灯の光軸が下向きのままになり、前方を照射できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、前照灯及びヘッドライト・レベリング・アクチュエータの製造ロット番号を点検し、該当するものは当該ヘッドライト・レベリング・アクチュエータを対策品と交換する。
