Defect
Due to improper assembly procedures at the vehicle manufacturing plant, some front passenger airbag inflators intended for overseas-market vehicles were installed in domestic-market vehicles. As a result, the airbag may not deploy normally when activated.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the passenger airbag assembly with a correct unit.
