Defect
In the hydraulic clutch mechanism of the continuously variable transmission (CVT), the dimensional accuracy of the annular seal that maintains hydraulic pressure is insufficient, allowing the seal to be assembled in an eccentric position. This causes the seal to sustain damage, leading to clutch malfunction and, in the worst case, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the hydraulic pressure retention condition. If normal, replace the hydraulic clutch mechanism with the corrected part. If abnormal, replace the entire CVT assembly with a unit incorporating the corrected parts.

状況
無段変速機の油圧クラッチ機構において、油圧を保持するための環状シール部の寸法精度が不適切なため、シールが偏心した状態で組み付けられているものがある。そのため、当該シールが損傷してクラッチが作動不良となり、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、油圧の保持状態を点検し、正常な場合は油圧クラッチ機構を対策品に交換する。異常な場合は、対策品が組み込まれた無段変速機に交換する。
