Defect
In the ABS actuator, inadequate temperature control during molding of the gear pump oil seal may result in a seal with insufficient hardness. Brake fluid penetrates the degraded seal and leaks into the actuator interior. If fluid reaches the circuit board, a system fault occurs, illuminating the ABS and VDC warning lights and disabling both functions. In the worst case, a short circuit in the electrical circuit may cause a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the ABS actuator serial number and, if the unit is identified as affected, replace the ABS actuator with a conforming unit. (Scheduled for early February 2017.)

状況
ＡＢＳアクチュエータにおいて、ギヤポンプ内部のオイルシール成形時の温度管理が不適切なため、オイルシールの硬度が低くなっているものがある。そのため、オイルシールにブレーキ液が浸透してシール性能が低下し、そのまま使用を続けると、ブレーキ液がアクチュエータ内部に漏れ、電気基板に浸入すると、システム異常となりＡＢＳおよびＶＤＣ警告灯が点灯して機能が停止し、最悪の場合、電気回路がショートして火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ＡＢＳアクチュエータの製造番号を確認し、対象の場合は当該ＡＢＳアクチュエータを良品と交換する。（平成２９年２月上旬予定）
