Defect
On vehicles equipped with an idling stop system, the integrated starter-generator has insufficient electrical circuit resistance. The high current surge during engine restart from an idling stop event may damage internal components. This can cause a short circuit, preventing the engine from restarting after an idling stop. In the worst case, heat generated by the short circuit may cause the generator to burn out.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the generator with a corrected part.

状況
アイドリングストップ付き車のスターター機能付き発電機において、電気回路の耐性が不足しているため、アイドリングストップから再始動する際の高い電流で内部部品が損傷することがある。そのため、回路がショートし、アイドリングストップから再始動できなくなり、最悪の場合、回路のショートで発熱し、発電機が焼損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該発電機を対策品と交換する。
