Defect
On vehicles converted to dual natural gas/gasoline fuel operation, the floor panel at the fuel tank (gas cylinder) mounting point was designed with insufficient structural strength. This allows cracks to form in the floor panel. Continued use causes the cracks to propagate and, in the worst case, the floor panel may fracture and the fuel tank may detach from the vehicle.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the components securing the tank bracket to the floor panel are replaced with corrected parts. Floor panels found to have cracks are also repaired.
