Defect
The VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control) unit contains an incorrect electric parking brake control program. When the electric parking brake is applied while the vehicle is parked and the ignition switch is then cycled from off to on after a set period of time, the electric parking brake motor may continue to run without stopping. This continuous operation can damage the motor, resulting in a condition where the electric parking brake cannot be released.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the VDC unit software.

状況
ＶＤＣ（ビークルダイナミクスコントロール）ユニットにおいて、電動パーキングブレーキ制御プログラムが不適切なため、車両駐車時に電動パーキングブレーキを作動させ、一定時間後にイグニッションスイッチをオフからオンに操作すると、電動パーキングブレーキのモータが作動し続けることがある。そのため、当該モータが損傷し、電動パーキングブレーキが解除できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ＶＤＣユニットの制御プログラムを書き換える。
