Defect
On large dump trucks, the retaining clip securing the dump operation control cable has insufficient strength. Transmission vibration causes the retaining clip to break, allowing the control cable to contact the air tube. Continued operation damages the air tube, and in the worst case, air leaks from the tube, causing loss of clutch function and auxiliary brake (retarder) function.
Corrective action
Replace the control cable retaining clip with a corrected part and reroute the control cable. Inspect the air tube and control cable; replace either with a new part if damage is found.

状況
大型ダンプ車において、ダンプ操作用コントロールケーブルの固定クリップの強度が不足しているため、トランスミッションの振動により固定クリップが破損することがある。そのため、コントロールケーブルがエアチューブに接触し、そのままの状態で使用すると、エアチューブが損傷して、最悪の場合、エアが漏れ、クラッチ・補助ブレーキ(リターダ)等の機能が失陥する。
改善措置
・コントロールケーブル固定クリップを対策品に交換する。あわせてコントロールケーブルの配索方法を変更する。 ・エアチューブおよびコントロールケーブルを点検し、損傷がある場合は新品に交換する。
