Defect
The blower motor brush material is incorrectly specified. Repeated extended operation at maximum fan speed causes the brushes to wear prematurely. This slows blower motor rotation and, with continued use, may cause the motor to stop entirely. If windshield fogging then occurs, the driver may be unable to maintain a safe field of view.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, check the label color on the blower motor and, if it is a pre-correction unit, replace it with a corrected part.

状況
ブロワモータのブラシの材質が不適切なため、最大風量での長時間使用を繰り返すと、ブラシが早期に摩耗する場合がある。そのため、ブロワモータの回転が遅くなり、そのまま使用を続けると作動が停止し、前面ガラスに曇りが生じた場合に安全な視野を確保できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブロワモータのラベル色を確認し、対策前品の場合は対策品と交換する。
