Defect
The diagnostic tool software developed for these vehicles during the design phase is defective. When the tool is used, it may initialize the data in the vehicle's common driveline control computer, causing malfunctions such as inoperative auto-cruise control, inoperative engine auxiliary braking, and failure of the hill-start assist to release. In addition, the torque-cut function in low gear ranges becomes inoperative. Continued use in this condition may, in the worst case, damage the transmission or differential gear, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
Using a diagnostic tool updated with the corrected software, inspect the common driveline control computer data on all vehicles. Where data has been initialized, reprogram it with the correct data.

状況
対象車両設計時に開発した故障診断ツール用のプログラムが不適切なため、当該ツールを使用した際に、車両の共通駆動系制御コンピュータのデータが初期化され、オートクルーズやエンジン補助ブレーキの不作動、坂道発進補助装置が解除されない等の不具合が発生する場合がある。 また、低速ギヤ段でのトルクカット機能が不作動となることから、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、トランスミッションやデファレンシャルギヤが破損し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、対策プログラムに交換した故障診断ツールを用いて共通駆動系制御コンピュータを点検し、データが初期化されていた場合は正規のデータに書き換える。
