Defect

During rework of brake fluid filling operations, improper bleeding of the brake line has left residual air inside the brake hydraulic unit on some vehicles. This causes brake pedal stroke to increase and, in the worst case, may reduce braking effectiveness. On vehicles equipped with ASC (Active Stability Control / skid prevention system), the skid prevention function may also be impaired.

Corrective action

Replace the brake hydraulic unit on all vehicles with a service replacement part.

状況

ブレーキ液充填の手直し作業において、ブレーキラインのエアー抜き作業が不適切なため、ブレーキハイドロリックユニット内にエアーが残留しているものがある。そのため、ブレーキペダルストロークが増大し、最悪の場合、ブレーキの効きが低下するおそれがある。また、ASC(横滑り防止システム)付き車は、横滑り防止機能が損なわれるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ブレーキハイドロリックユニットを補給部品と交換する。
