Defect

The internal coil of the engine crankshaft angle sensor has insufficient durability. Repeated high-rpm operation—such as full-throttle acceleration in a low gear—subjects the sensor to excessive vibration, which may cause the coil to experience a broken wire. As a result, the engine may stall while driving or fail to start.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the crankshaft angle sensor with the corrected part.

状況

エンジンのクランク角センサにおいて、内部コイルの耐久性が不足しているため、低速ギア使用による全開加速走行など、エンジン回転数が高い運転を繰返すと、クランク角センサに過大な振動が加わり当該コイルが断線する場合がある。そのため、走行中にエンジンが停止する、あるいは、エンジンが始動できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、クランク角センサを対策品と交換する。
