Defect
On road maintenance vehicles equipped with yellow warning beacons, manufacturing variation in the main gear that rotates the reflector may cause the gear to contract in cold temperatures, eliminating the clearance between the main gear inner diameter and the bulb socket boss. When this occurs, the main gear and reflector lock up and the beacon stops flashing.
Corrective action
Replace the complete yellow warning beacon assembly on all affected vehicles with a corrected unit.

状況
道路維持作業用自動車に備える黄色点滅灯において、反射鏡を回転させるメインギアの製造バラツキにより、低温時に収縮してメインギア内径と電球ソケットボスとの隙間が無くなる場合がある。その場合、メインギアおよび反射鏡が動かなくなるため、点滅灯が点滅しなくなる。
改善措置
全車両、黄色点滅灯一式を対策品と交換する。
