Defect
In the steering system, the joint component connecting the steering wheel to the steering gear box (intermediate extension shaft) has insufficient strength on the gear box side on some units. Repeatedly turning the steering wheel to full lock at low speed causes play to develop at the joint connection. Continued operation allows the connection to wear through, which may result in loss of steering control.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect and replace the joint component with the corrected part.

状況
①かじ取装置において、ハンドルとギヤボックスを連結している継手部品(インタミエクステンションシャフト)のギヤボックス側強度が不足しているものがあるため、低速時にハンドルを強く一杯に切る操作を繰り返すと、継手部品の連結部にガタが発生することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、連結部が摩滅し、かじ取り操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、点検し、当該継手部品を対策品に交換する。
