Defect
In the steering system, the bracket that secures the steering gear box to the cross member (the right-side bracket of two) is improperly shaped. Frequent full-lock steering maneuvers cause the bracket to sustain damage, producing abnormal noise and excessive steering play. In the worst case, positive steering control may be lost.
Corrective action
Replace the affected bracket on all vehicles with a corrected part.

状況
かじ取り装置において、ギヤボックスをクロスメンバに固定するブラケット(2箇所の うち右側)の形状が不適切なため、ハンドル据え切り操作を頻繁に繰り返すと、当該ブラ ケットが損傷し、異音やハンドルの遊びが大きくなり、最悪の場合、確実な操舵ができな くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ブラケットを対策品に交換する。
