Defect

On wing trucks, the rotating center post that secures the cargo bed side panel lacks sufficient strength in its lock device. When a strong lateral load is applied from inside the cargo bed, the lock device latch releases, causing the vehicle's overall width to exceed the limits specified in the Safety Standards for Road Vehicles.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the arm of the rotating center post lock device with the corrected part.

状況

ウイングトラックの荷台あおりを固定するための回転式中柱において、荷台内側から強い横荷重を受けた場合、当該中柱固定用ロック装置の頑健性が不足しているため、当該ロック装置のラッチが外れ、車両の全幅が道路運送車両の保安基準を満足しない。

改善措置

全車両、回転式中柱固定用ロック装置のアームを対策品に交換する。
