Defect
On transit buses equipped with an automatic transmission, the vehicle speed sensor design is inadequate. Vehicle vibration may cause a broken wire inside the sensor, resulting in speedometer failure.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the vehicle speed sensor with a corrected part.
