Defect
At the engine manufacturing plant, the electrical wiring for the air-fuel ratio sensor in the inspection equipment was improperly configured, which may have damaged the air-fuel ratio sensor on affected vehicles. As a result, the emissions control system may not function correctly, and carbon monoxide emissions may exceed the regulatory limit.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the air-fuel ratio sensor and replace any damaged sensor with a conforming part.
