Defect
On vehicles equipped with a tail gate lifter, the wiring harness for the rear combination lamps was improperly secured and may sag. The sagging wiring may contact the exhaust pipe, damaging the wiring and causing the driver's-side rear combination lamp to become inoperative. This may result in non-compliance with Safety Standards Article 37 (tail lamp standards), Article 39 (stop lamp standards), Article 40 (reversing lamp standards), Article 41 (turn signal standards), and Article 41-3 (hazard warning lamp standards).
Corrective action
On all vehicles, re-secure the wiring harness for both the driver's-side and passenger's-side rear combination lamps using welded-type or bolt-type wiring clips.

状況
テールゲートリフタ装着車において、リヤコンビネーションランプに使用する配線の固縛が不適切であったため、配線が垂れ下がるものがある。そのため、配線と排気管が接触し配線が損傷して、運転者席側のリヤコンビネーションランプが不点灯となり、道路運送車両の保安基準第37条(尾灯の基準)、第39条(制動灯の基準)、第40条(後退灯の基準)、第41条(方向指示器の基準)、第41条の3(非常点滅表示灯の基準)に適合しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、運転者席側および助手席側のリヤコンビネーションランプの配線の固縛を溶接式配線クリップ、またはボルト式配線クリップに変更する。
