Defect
The engine control unit installed on the engines of heavy-duty trucks has an improperly designed internal circuit board. Temperature fluctuations during vehicle operation cause solder joint contact failures on the board. Continued use in this condition may blow the fuse, causing the engine to stall and preventing restart.
Corrective action
Replace the engine control unit on all vehicles with a corrected part.

状況
大型トラックのエンジンに装着されているエンジンコントロールユニットにおいて、エンジンコントロールユニット内部の電子基板の構造が不適切なため、運転中の温度変化で当該基盤の半田部に接触不良を生じるものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、ヒューズが切れ、エンジンが停止し再始動出来なくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンコントロールユニットを対策品と交換する。
