Defect
On large touring buses equipped with a cold-climate toilet at the rear of the vehicle, improper installation of the toilet water tank may have caused the toilet freeze-prevention wiring harness to become pinched beneath the tank. This can damage the harness and, in the worst case, cause a short circuit that produces smoke from the interior ceiling panel.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the harness and, if it is found to be pinched, repair it.

状況
車両後部に寒冷地向け仕様のトイレを装備した大型観光バスにおいて、トイレ用水タンクの取付け作業が不適切なため、トイレ水凍結防止用ハーネスをタンク下部に挟み込んだものがある。そのため、当該ハーネスが損傷し、最悪の場合、短絡し室内天井板が発煙するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ハーネスを点検し挟み込んでいる場合は、補修を行う。
