Defect
On compressed natural gas (CNG) route buses, the electrical wiring and related components in the engine compartment have insufficient heat resistance. Heat from the exhaust pipe damages the wiring insulation. Continued use in this condition may cause a broken wire, and in the worst case, the engine may stall and be unable to restart. Additionally, degradation of the catalyst and exhaust noise suppressor mounts may produce abnormal noise.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add heat-insulating covering to the affected electrical wiring and replace the band clips with corrected parts. Where wiring damage is found, replace the affected electrical wiring with new parts. Also replace the catalyst and exhaust noise suppressor mounts with corrected parts.

状況
圧縮天然ガス（ＣＮＧ車）の路線バスにおいて、エンジンルーム内の電気配線等の耐熱性が不足しているため、排気管からの熱により配線被覆が損傷するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、配線が断線し、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止し再始動ができなくなるおそれがある。また、触媒及び排気サイレンサのマウントが劣化し、異音が発生するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該電気配線に断熱用被覆を追加するとともに、バンドクリップを対策品と交換する。なお、当該電気配線に損傷があるものは、電気配線を新品と交換する。また、触媒及び排気サイレンサのマウントを対策品と交換する。
