Defect
On heavy-duty trucks equipped with a box-type muffler, the urea solution dosing nozzle may have been assembled with an incorrect part. Continued use allows the urea solution to crystallize, which may clog the nozzle and muffler.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the nozzle and replace any incorrect part with the genuine part. If urea crystal deposits are found inside the muffler as a result of the incorrect nozzle, perform a manual DPF regeneration to remove the deposits. If manual DPF regeneration does not remove the urea crystals, replace the muffler with a new unit.

状況
箱形マフラーを装着した大型トラックの尿素水ドージングノズルにおいて、誤品を組み付けたものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、尿素水が結晶化し、当該ノズルやマフラーが詰まるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ノズルを確認し、誤品が装着されている場合は、正規品に交換する。また、誤品の装着によってマフラー内に尿素水結晶の堆積が認められた場合は、DPF手動再生を行って尿素水結晶を除去する。なお、DPF手動再生を行っても尿素水結晶が除去されないものは、マフラーを新品に交換する。
