Defect
In the engine, the vacuum pump shaft used for the exhaust gas recirculation system received improper heat treatment, resulting in insufficient strength. The shaft may fracture, eliminating vacuum generation. Without vacuum, the exhaust gas recirculation valve cannot operate, and the concentration of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas may exceed the regulatory limit.
Corrective action
Replace the vacuum pump with a corrected part on all vehicles.

状況
原動機において、排気ガス再循環装置に使用されているバキュームポンプのシャフトの熱 処理が不適切なため、強度が不足しているものがあり、当該シャフトが折損して負圧が発 生しなくなることから、排出ガス再循環装置バルブが駆動せず、排出ガスに含まれる窒素 酸化物の濃度が基準値を越えるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該バキュームポンプを対策品と交換する。
