Defect
On vehicles equipped with 14-inch steel wheels, the full wheel cap fitted to the wheel has an excessively large outer diameter. When a large load is applied to the tire — such as when riding over a curb — the deformed tire sidewall interferes with the full wheel cap. In the worst case, the full wheel cap may detach from the wheel while the vehicle is in motion, creating a hazard to other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the full wheel cap with the corrected part, which has a reduced outer diameter.

状況
14インチスチールホイール仕様車において、車輪に装着したフルホイールキャップの外径が大きく、縁石等に乗り上げる等タイヤに大きな負荷が掛かった場合、変形したタイヤのサイドウォール部がフルホイールキャップと干渉し、最悪の場合、走行中にフルホイールキャップが脱落し、他の交通の妨げとなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車輌、フルホイールキャップを、外径を小さくした対策品と交換する。
