Defect
The turn signal switch circuit in the flasher unit is improperly designed. When the switch is operated, the resulting current flow generates arc discharge at the contacts, causing contact wear. In the worst case, the turn signal lamps may fail to illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the flasher unit with the corrected part and replace the turn signal switch with a new unit.

状況
(3)側面方向指示器を備えた車両の方向指示器スイッチにおいて、フラッシャーユニットの回路が不適切なため、当該スイッチ操作時の通電によりアーク放電が発生し、接点が摩耗するものがあり、最悪の場合、方向指示器が点灯しないおそれがある。
改善措置
(3)全車両、当該フラッシャーユニットを対策品と交換するとともに、方向指示器スイッチを新品と交換する。
