Defect
A defect in the manufacturing process of the front side turn signal allows a gap to form at the lens mounting section, permitting water to enter the housing. Continued use causes electrical continuity failure, and the turn signal may stop illuminating.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the front side turn signal with a corrected part.
