Defect
During the manufacturing process, the diaphragm inside the pulsation damper (fuel pressure pulsation attenuator) may have been scratched. Continued use exposes the damaged diaphragm to fuel pressure pulsation, which can propagate a crack from the scratch and cause a fuel leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the pulsation damper serial number and replace any affected unit with a conforming part.

状況
エンジンの燃料装置において、パルセーションダンパ(燃料圧脈動減衰器)の製造工程でダイヤフラムを傷付けたものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、車両の使用過程における燃料圧の脈動で当該ダイヤフラムの傷から亀裂が生じ、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、パルセーションダンパの製造番号を確認し、対象に該当するものは良品に交換する。
