Defect

On certain heavy-duty freight vehicles (rear-front single-drive three-axle configuration), the rear-rear axle has insufficient strength margin for its operating environment, and cracks may develop in the axle. Continued operation allows the crack to propagate. In the worst case, the axle may fracture.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the rear-rear axle with a corrected part. In addition, issue usage precautions to vehicle operators.

状況

大型貨物車(後前1軸駆動3軸車)の後後軸において、一部の車両で、使用環境に対する強度の余裕が少ないため、当該車軸に亀裂が発生する場合がある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、車軸が折損するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、後後軸を対策品に交換する。また、車両使用上の注意喚起を行う。
