Defect
On heavy-duty freight vehicles (three-axle, rear-front single-axle drive configuration), the rear rear axle on some vehicles has insufficient strength margin for its operating environment, and cracks may develop in the axle. Continued use allows the crack to propagate and, in the worst case, the axle may fracture.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rear rear axle with a corrected part. Because supply of the corrected part requires time, inspect all axles for cracks and prioritize replacement on vehicles where cracks are found. In addition, issue usage precaution notices to vehicle operators.

状況
大型貨物車（後前１軸駆動３軸車）の後後軸において、一部の車両で、使用環境に対する強度の余裕が少ないため、当該車軸に亀裂が発生する場合がある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、車軸が折損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、後後軸を対策品に交換する。なお、対策品の供給に時間を要するため、亀裂有無の点検を行い、亀裂がある車両は優先して交換する。また、車両使用上の注意喚起を行う。
