Defect
The shape of the radiator scratch-prevention guide — set on the radiator shroud panel during assembly — is incorrect, causing it to interfere with the automatic transmission oil hose. Prolonged driving on unpaved or rough roads wears through the hose. In the worst case, oil may leak, the warning light will illuminate, and the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, remove the guide. Inspect the oil hose and, depending on the extent of damage, either add a protector or replace the hose with a new one.
