Defect
The induction hardening range at the base of the propeller shaft slide yoke spline is incorrect, resulting in insufficient strength at that location. Continued use allows a crack to develop at that point. In the worst case, the propeller shaft may fracture, leaving the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the propeller shaft with a non-defective unit.

状況
プロペラシャフトのスライドヨークスプライン根元部の高周波焼入れ範囲が不適切なため、強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該部に亀裂が生じ、最悪の場合、プロペラシャフトが折損し走行不能になるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、プロペラシャフトを良品に交換する。
