Issue
On vehicles with a flip-up rear cargo door and a door balancer assembly, the nuts securing the balancer bracket may have been installed using non-genuine nuts that lack a lock feature, rather than the specified genuine lock nuts. On affected vehicles, these nuts may loosen and fall out, causing the bracket to detach from the door. In the worst case, the door can no longer be held in the open position and may drop shut suddenly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the nuts securing the bracket. On any vehicle where genuine lock nuts are not installed, replace the nuts with genuine lock nuts.

状況
はね上げ式の荷台後部ドアとその開閉補助装置（ドアバランサ）のブラケット固定部で使用しているナットが、正規品のナット（緩み止め機能付き）でない異品のナット（緩み止め機能無）が取付いている可能性がある。そのため、異品のナット取付車両において、ナットが緩み脱落し、ブラケットが当該ドアから外れ、最悪の場合当該ドアが開き状態に保てなくなり、急に閉じてしまうおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブラケットを取付けているナットを確認し、正規品のナットが取付いていない車両については、正規品のナットに交換する。
