Defect
Certain van-type vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 7 tonnes or more were shipped fitted with rear underrun protection devices rated for vehicles under 7 tonnes GVW, and therefore do not comply with the Safety Standards.
Corrective action
Using the vehicle inspection certificate, verify the rear underrun protection device on all vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 7 tonnes or more. Replace any incorrect parts with conforming parts.
