Defect
The fuse rating for the air conditioning heat exchanger cooling fan is inappropriate. If the fan is locked or driven into an overload condition by an external factor such as mud accumulation, the fan motor may overheat abnormally. Continued use allows the overheating to generate combustible gas from the motor and to melt the motor mounting, causing the motor to drop and contact the air conditioning heat exchanger. The resulting sparks may ignite the combustible gas and, in the worst case, cause a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fan fuse from 20 A to 10 A and update the fuse rating label accordingly.

状況
エアコンの熱交換機冷却用ファンのヒューズ容量が不適切なため、当該ファンが外的要因（泥の固着等）によりロック又は過負荷回転した場合、当該ファンのモータが異常発熱することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、発熱によりモータから可燃性ガスが発生するとともに、モータ取付け部の溶損によりモータが脱落し、エアコンの熱交換機と接触すると火花が発生するため、最悪の場合、可燃性ガスに引火し、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ファンのヒューズ容量を２０Ａから１０Ａに交換し、ヒューズ容量表示を変更する。
