Defect
On turbocharged vehicles, the routing position and corrosion protection treatment of the oil feed pipe supplying oil to the turbocharger are inadequate. Driving in areas where road salt or de-icing agents are used exposes the pipe to salt water, causing corrosion. As corrosion progresses, a hole forms in the pipe, allowing oil to leak onto the exhaust pipe and produce white smoke. In the worst case, the leaking oil may ignite, resulting in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
Replace the oil feed pipe with the corrected part.

状況
ターボチャージャ付車両において、ターボチャージャへオイルを供給するオイルフィードパイプの配管位置及び防錆処置が不適切なため、融雪剤散布地域での走行等により塩水がかかり当該パイプが腐食することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、腐食が進行して穴があき、オイルが漏れ排気管に付着し白煙が発生し、最悪の場合、漏れたオイルが発火し、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
オイルフィードパイプを対策品と交換する。
