Defect
Due to an improper manufacturing process, internal delamination and crack propagation may occur within the engine pistons. Continued use allows the damage to progress. In the worst case, the engine may fail, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the engine. Any vehicle with a damaged piston must have the piston replaced with the corrected part.

状況
原動機のピストンにおいて、製造工程が不適切なため、ピストン内部に剥離が生じ亀裂が進展するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、エンジンが破損し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、原動機を点検し、ピストンが損傷しているものは対策品と交換する。
