Defect
The vibration-damping rubber of the engine rear mount, which supports the engine, has insufficient strength on some units. Repeated rotational oscillation of the engine causes cracks to develop and progress to fracture of the rubber element. Continued use then damages the engine front mount as well, leading to engine oil leaks and loss of gear-shifting ability and, in the worst case, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the engine rear mount and replace it with a conforming unit if one is not already installed; also replace the engine front mount with a new unit. In addition, add an engine mount rubber damage inspection item to the maintenance log and notify owners to perform scheduled maintenance reliably.

状況
エンジンを支持しているエンジンリヤマウントの防振ゴム部の強度が不足しているものがあるため、エンジン回転方向の揺動の繰返しにより、当該マウントのゴム部に亀裂が発生し、破断することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、エンジンフロントマウントも損傷し、最悪の場合、エンジンオイルの漏れや変速不能となり、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンリヤマウントを点検し、良品が装着されていない場合は、良品に交換するとともに、エンジンフロントマウントを新品に交換する。なお、メンテナンスノートの点検整備項目にエンジンマウントラバーの損傷点検を追記し、ユーザーに定期点検整備の確実な実施について周知を行う。
