Defect
The accelerator pedal is improperly shaped at its lower end. Repeatedly depressing the pedal to the floor with excessive force can wear through the floor mat, creating a hole. In the worst case, the accelerator pedal may catch in the hole and engine speed may fail to decrease.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the accelerator pedal with the corrected part and inspect the floor mat. If a hole is present, replace the floor mat with a new one.

状況
アクセルペダル下端部の形状が不適切なため、過大な力でアクセルペダルが床につくまで踏み込む操作を繰り返すと、フロアマットに穴があく場合がある。そのため、最悪の場合、アクセルペダルが穴に引っかかり、エンジン回転が下がらなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、アクセルペダルを対策品に交換するとともにフロアマットを点検し、穴があいている場合は新品に交換する。
