Defect
On the alternator, the seal on the pulley clutch is inadequate, allowing internal lubricating oil to leak out. This causes clutch damage and abnormal noise. Continued use in this condition may result in the pulley detaching from the alternator.
Corrective action
Identify the alternator manufacturer on all vehicles. If the vehicle is within the affected population, replace the alternator with the corrected part.

状況
発電機において、プーリーに設けたクラッチのシール性が不足しているため、クラッチ内部の潤滑油が流出しクラッチが破損して異音が発生するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、当該プーリーが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
