Defect
In the transmission of vehicles equipped with a power take-off (PTO) unit, the bearing between the countershaft and the PTO gear has insufficient strength, causing the bearing to fail during PTO operation. Continued use allows drive force to transfer to the axle drive shaft, and in the worst case, the vehicle may begin to move while the PTO is engaged.
Corrective action
As an interim measure, request that operators refrain from using the PTO on all vehicles. Once a permanent fix is determined, replace the transmission with the corrected part.

状況
作業用動力取出装置(PTO)付車の変速機において、カウンタシャフトとPTO用ギヤとの間の軸受強度が不足しているため、PTO使用時に当該軸受が破損することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、車軸駆動用軸に駆動力が伝わり、最悪の場合、PTO使用時に車両が動き出すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、暫定措置として、PTOを使用しないよう使用者に要請する。なお、恒久対策が決定次第、変速機を対策品と交換する。
