Defect
When the starter is operated repeatedly, flammable gas may accumulate inside the magnetic switch—the device that engages the starter motor gear with the engine. A spark can ignite this accumulated gas, causing the switch to burn. In the worst case, the resulting fire may spread to the vehicle.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the magnetic switch assembly and the starter motor gear with corrected parts.

状況
始動装置を繰り返し操作した場合、マグネチックスイッチ（スタータモータのギヤをエンジンにかみ合わせる装置）内部に可燃性のガスが発生し、滞留することがある。そのため、当該ガスに火花が着火して焼損し、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、マグネチックスイッチ一式及びスタータモータのギヤを対策品と交換する。
