Defect
On vehicles converted to dual-mode rail-road operation, the shape of the steel brake air piping is improperly designed, allowing water to accumulate inside the piping on some units. Continued use causes rust to develop inside the piping. The rust may eventually perforate the piping, causing an air leak, and in the worst case, reducing braking force.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the brake air piping with the corrected part.

状況
2.軌陸車(軌道兼用車等)に改造した車両において、鋼製のブレーキ用エア配管の形状が不適切なため、当該配管内部に水が溜まるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、配管内部に錆が発生し、穴があいてエアが漏れ、最悪の場合、制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
2.全車両、ブレーキ用エア配管を対策品に交換する。
