Defect
The parking brake cable was improperly assembled during manufacturing, causing it to contact the rear wheel brake pipes. Continued use may cause wear at the contact area.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the clearance between the parking brake cable and the rear wheel brake pipes. If contact is found, restore adequate clearance. Where the protective rubber on the brake pipe is worn, repair it. Where bare metal is exposed, replace the rear wheel brake pipe with a new part. Where the parking brake cable is worn, replace it with a new part.

状況
駐車制動装置において、製造時に駐車用ブレーキケーブルの組付けが不適切なため、後輪用ブレーキパイプと干渉するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、干渉部位が摩耗するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、駐車用ブレーキケーブルと後輪用ブレーキパイプとの隙間を点検し、干渉している場合は隙間を確保する。なお、ブレーキパイプの保護ゴムが摩耗しているものは補修し、金属が露出しているものは後輪用ブレーキパイプを新品と交換する。また、駐車用ブレーキケーブルが摩耗しているものは駐車用ブレーキケーブルを新品と交換する。
