Defect
A lower arm manufactured through an improper forging process was installed in the front suspension. The defective manufacturing has caused cracks to develop at the ball joint socket of the lower arm. During circuit cornering, when the inner wheel rides over a step, or during abrupt steering or braking, the ball stud may separate from the ball joint socket, rendering the vehicle inoperable. This recall adds newly identified affected vehicles to recall notification No. 1042 dated February 26, 2004.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the manufacturing lot number of the lower arm; replace any lower arm with the applicable lot number with a conforming part.

状況
②前輪緩衝装置において、不適切な鍛造工程により製作されたロアアームが組み付けられたため、当該ロアアームのボールジョイントソケット部に亀裂が発生したものがある。そのため、サーキットでのコーナリング走行時等に、内輪が段差を乗り上げたり、急操舵、急制動を行った場合、ボールジョイントソケット部からボールスタッドが外れ、走行不能となるおそれがある。 本届出の内②は、平成16年2月26日「届出番号1042」のリコール届出に新たに対象車を追加するものである。
改善措置
②全車両、ロアアームの製造ロット番号を点検し、該当するものは当該ロアアームを良品と交換する。
