Defect

The headlamp assembly is designed with insufficient heat dissipation. Heat generated during lamp operation and solar radiation causes the reflector to deform, tilting the bulb and shifting the beam axis. In the worst case, the solder at the socket may melt, the lead wire may pull free, and the headlamp may fail to illuminate.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the headlamp and socket with corrected parts and install a new bulb.

状況

前照灯の灯火器の構造が不適切なため、放熱しにくい構造となっている。そのため、点灯時及び太陽光の熱により反射器が変形してバルブに傾きが生じ、光軸が変化することがあり、最悪の場合、ソケット部の半田が溶け、リード線が抜けて前照灯が不灯となるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ヘッドランプ及びソケットを対策品に交換する。また、バルブを新品に交換する。
