Defect
The flange section of the rear axle shaft has insufficient strength. Repeated high-speed driving on winding mountain roads and similar routes can cause a crack to develop at the base of the flange. Continued use allows the crack to propagate and, in the worst case, the shaft may fracture, causing the wheel to detach and rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
Replace the rear axle shaft on all vehicles with the corrected part.

状況
リヤアクスルシャフトのフランジ部の強度が不足しているため、高速で山間の屈曲路等を繰り返し走行すると、フランジの付け根部に亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、当該部が折損して車輪が外れ、走行できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、リヤアクスルシャフトを対策品と交換する。
