Defect
The assembly process for the ball joints connecting the front suspension lower arms to the knuckle arms was improperly performed, resulting in scratches on the ball joint spherical surfaces. Continued operation in this condition accelerates ball joint wear and increases play. In the worst case, the ball joint may separate from the knuckle arm, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the left and right ball joints (with knuckle arms) with conforming parts.

状況
前輪緩衝装置のロアアームとナックルアームを連結しているボールジョイント内部の組付け工程が不適切なため、ジョイント球面部に傷がついたものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、ボールジョイントの摩耗が早期に進行してガタが増大し、最悪の場合、ボールジョイントがナックルアームから外れ、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、左右ボールジョイント(ナックルアーム付き)を良品と交換する。
