Defect
In the fuel pump, an impeller with an oversized outer diameter was installed. Fuel absorption causes the impeller to swell, and elevated fuel temperatures cause it to expand further, allowing it to contact the impeller case. Continued operation reduces fuel delivery output and may cause the engine to stall and be unable to restart. Alternatively, the impeller may seize and fail to rotate at startup, preventing engine starting.
Corrective action
Replace the fuel pump on all vehicles with a conforming unit.

状況
燃料ポンプにおいて、燃料を圧送するインペラ（羽根車）に外径寸法の大きいものが組み込まれたため、インペラが燃料による膨潤及び燃料温度が高くなることによる膨張によって、インペラケースと干渉するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、燃料の吐出量が少なくなりエンジンが停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。又は、エンジン始動時にインペラが回転しなくなり、エンジンが始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、燃料ポンプを良品と交換する。
