Defect
The mounting hole positions for securing the transmission to the cylinder block are incorrectly located, causing some engines and transmissions to be assembled with misaligned shafts. Continued use in this condition damages the clutch disc on manual transmission vehicles or the drive plate on automatic transmission vehicles and, in the worst case, may render the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, remove the oil pan and inspect the alignment between the cylinder block and transmission. On units found to be misaligned, replace the locating pin with a corrected part and replace the clutch disc or drive plate with a new unit.

状況
原動機において、シリンダブロックに変速機を固定するための穴の位置が不適切なため、原動機と変速機の軸がずれて組み立てられたものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、手動変速機のクラッチディスクまたは自動変速機のドライブプレートが損傷し、最悪の場合、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、オイルパンを取り外してシリンダブロックと変速機とのずれ量を点検し、不適切なものは位置決めピンを対策品と交換するとともに、クラッチディスクまたはドライブプレートを新品と交換する。
